We are looking for
100 authors.

For our 2027 lists, All Blue World is opening a wide reading. A hundred texts will be selected, from a first manuscript to an established author looking for a new home. As the startup studio of publishing, the group edits, distributes through bookshops and develops the exploitation rights of its books. We publish at the publisher’s expense: it costs you nothing.

What we are looking for

A personal voice, and a book project whose interest comes across quickly.

Our fields

Novel, narrative and testimony, essay and current affairs, biography, personal development, entrepreneurship, sport, spirituality and intercultural dialogue, children’s books, picture books, comics and graphic novels, crime, speculative fiction, poetry.

Who can apply

Any adult holding the rights to their text: a first manuscript, a self-published book to grow, or an established author looking for a new home.

Languages

We read manuscripts in French and English. We are not yet able to assess texts written in other languages properly.

What we cannot take

Texts whose rights are already assigned, academic work not rewritten for a general readership, and manuscripts written by artificial intelligence.

How it works

  1. SubmissionYou fill in the form and attach your extract. Allow ten to fifteen minutes. An acknowledgement arrives immediately, with your file number.
  2. First reading, within fifteen daysOur tools prepare the ground: sorting by collection, spotting duplicates, drafting a first report. Then a committee member reads your synopsis, your statement of intent and your extract. No decision is taken without a human reading.
  3. Second reading and reportIf the text passes that stage, a second reader takes it up and writes a reasoned report: strengths, weaknesses, intended readership, editorial work to expect.
  4. Editorial committeeThe committee meets every month. The decision is collective, and a lead editor is appointed for every text taken on.
  5. Answer, within six weeksYou receive an answer whatever it is. Texts that reached a second reading also receive the report that informed the decision, refusals included.
  6. ContractWe publish at the publisher’s expense: we carry production and distribution. The contract sets out the advance, the royalty rate, digital and audiovisual rights negotiated separately, and annual royalty statements. You have fifteen days to have it reviewed.
  7. Editorial workWith your lead editor: structure, rewriting, copy-editing, proofs. Then the cover with the art department, and the publication schedule.
  8. Innovation applied to your bookWith you and the art department, we look for what the book can gain beyond the page, then we create the complementary content with you: augmented reality, holographic content, audio, interactive formats. The approach is decided case by case, according to the subject and the readership.
  9. Production, launch and afterwardsPrinting, placement in bookshops, review copies, advertising, social media, events and book fairs. Then the life of the book: translations, rights sales, and possible extensions into podcast, talks or the screen.

Your tracking space

From signature onwards you get a personal space where you follow your book step by step, from copy-editing to press proof, then your sales and your royalties, updated continuously. You will not have to ask where your book stands: you will follow it as it goes.

Your text is read only by committee members and the editors concerned. It is passed to no third party, it is used to train no automated system, and submitting it transfers no rights.

What the studio brings you

All Blue World is the first startup studio of publishing. Concretely, that means your book is handled as a project with a method and a team, and it draws on resources you would otherwise have to find alone.

  1. Innovation applied to the book For every title we look for what the book can gain beyond the page: augmented reality, holographic content, audio, interactive formats. It is design work carried out with you, and it gives the book a life that paper alone cannot provide.
  2. Distribution through the group network Our own bookshops and corners, e-commerce platform, subscription boxes, media and podcast, trade fairs.
  3. A life beyond the book Depending on the subject and the author, a title can become a podcast episode, a series of talks and public events, a documentary, an animated series or a film. The companies of the Ctrl+Alt+Create group produce them. Each extension is the subject of a separate agreement, negotiated with you.
  4. International development Translations, foreign rights, screen adaptations handled by our own production company.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to have been published before?

No. The call is open to first manuscripts as much as to established authors looking for a new home. We judge the text before the track record.

Do I need a finished manuscript?

No. A solid synopsis, a clear statement of intent and an extract of around twenty pages are enough for a first reading. If the book is still being written, say so in the form.

Does it cost me anything?

Nothing. We publish at the publisher’s expense: we cover production and distribution, and the author earns royalties on sales. You will never be asked for a financial contribution.

What happens to my text if you turn it down?

It is kept for two years and then deleted, and you can ask for immediate erasure at any time. It is shared with no one outside the committee, and used to train no automated system.

Can I submit several texts?

Yes, one file per text and two at most. We would rather study one well-argued project.

I write in a language other than French or English.

We are not yet able to assess those texts properly. Subscribe to our letter: we will announce the opening to other languages there as soon as it becomes possible.
